**************************

The Black Squirrel Winds formed five years ago as a resident faculty ensemble at Kent State University's Hugh A. Glauser School of Music. The group is dedicated to performing exceptional wind music, promoting chamber music and educating young people. Named in honor of the unofficial mascot of Kent State, the group includes Diane Rechner (flute), Danna Sundet (oboe), Amitai Vardi (clarinet), Mark DeMio (bassoon) and Kent Larmee (horn). Native Clevelander, Elizabeth DeMio frequently joins the group to perform sextets. They will perform music originally written for ballet and tango, among other French favorites: "La Danse de la Sorciere" from Le Jardin du Paradis by Alexandre Tansman as well as Amor Por Tango by Mary Ann Griebling.
