Lit Cleveland Book Swap & Neo-MFA Reading

Join Lit Cleveland for our 3rd-annual book swap party! For every book you bring, you'll receive a raffle ticket that will allow you to exchange it for another book. This is a great chance to re-gift some books you no longer want and pick up some new-to-you summer reads. Market Garden is generously donating a dollar from every beer purchased, so drink up! Magazines in good condition welcome, too. Leftover reading material will be donated to Seeds of Literacy and Cleveland Books 2 Prisoners.

Featured readers include NEOMFA alumni Brandon North, Emily Troia, and Andrew Wehmann. Looking to read a recent poem, short story, or other written piece? You're in luck! We'll have three open mic slots available -- sign up on a first come, first serve basis.

About the readers:

Brandon North is a recent graduate of the NEOMFA. His poems and essays are forthcoming or appear in Ghost Proposal, Crixeo, The Bombay Gin, and Quarterly West.

Emily Troia studied Physics and Philosophy at Wesleyan University and received her B.A. in Studio Art from Ursuline College. She holds an MFA in Poetry from the Northeast Ohio Master of Fine Arts Program and worked for the Cleveland State Poetry Center as a reader, designer, and marketer for five years. She now works for the international nonprofit Social Venture Partners. A resident of Cleveland, Ohio, Emily spends her time reading, writing, and trying to finish at least one of her art projects.

Andrew Wehmann’s stories appear in Jellyfish Review, SmokeLong Quarterly, and elsewhere.
