Beneath The Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Monument in Public Square lies a labyrinth of historic tunnels that support the immense structure above.
For one day only, the tunnels will be opened up for tours on April 27th beginning at 9:00 A.M. The line for tours closes at 4:00 P.M. Everyone in line at 4:00 is guaranteed a tour. These tours are opened to the public, no reservations needed or taken. There is no cost whatsoever for the tours although donations are appreciated as they help us continue our valuable work. As always, docents will be available to provide greater information inside the main tablet room of the monument.
